Bluejoint grass is one of the dominant plants in wet meadows throughout our area. It also occurs in wet prairies, sedge fens, and openings or edges of various wetlands. It does well on wet sand, moist loam, or a shallow sedge peat. It spreads by rhizomes---good for large areas.
